Selecting the Capture Full Screen
choice will setup Retrospection to capture the entire screen. Capturing the entire screen can be nice as it
enables the user to review a larger picture.
However, capturing the entire screen does require more computer
resources and processing power. This
choice should only be selected on higher end computers.
Capture Quarter Screens
enables Retrospection to capture ¼ of the computer screen. This feature enables
Retrospection to save processing power. Although
¼ of the screen Retrospection supports a feature called active screen
tracking. Active Screen Tracking places
the center of the image where the mouse is currently located.
By default Retrospection will
be setup to store the last 30 minutes of screen activity. For the average user
this selection is the most appropriate.
The number of minutes can be
changed by selecting other values available in the drop down menu.
Selecting
the Store a specified number of images choice will setup Retrospection to store
captured activity not by a time limit but rather by number of image limit. This setting is more appropriate for
installations where it is more interesting to record usage over large periods
of time.
When this option is selected Retrospection will begin capturing screen activity when you log onto your operating system. If this option is not selected then the Capture Engine will need to be manually started via the Start Menu Program entry.
